The weather can be very moody, and planning around it is one of the most challenging aspects of our business. This week we were snowed in for two days, but temperatures in the 60s this weekend should help get the remaining ice thawed and the ground dried out. This confusing preview of Spring mixed with the bitter, Winter weather has us looking forward to our customers enjoying their pool and outdoor space a bit more once the warmer weather is here to stay for a season. But it is also a good reminder to stay ahead of any problems the cold weather may still cause to your outdoor space until we get there.

Maintaining the wellness of your pool and/or spa in differing climates means a longer, healthier life for your favorite spot outside. It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day busyness of life and forget that your pool requires a bit of attention all year long. That’s where our routine maintenance program can help. We want you to enjoy your pool without worrying about it, so we offer this service to keep your pool healthy and provide you with peace of mind by making sure we identify small issues before they can become big problems. Our trained technicians know that the little things go a long way when it comes to staying ahead of many potential issues with your pool/spa, and our years of experience and training help us take corrective action in an efficient manner which helps us save you both time and money.

As the key aesthetic feature of the backyard, most Signature built swimming pools stay open and running year-round. Because of this, our team takes special care in keeping your gas heater functional, being that the colder season is prime time for spa use particularly! We’re also checking to make sure that the air sensor is calibrated with Freeze Protection enabled through your automation settings to keep water moving through the plumbing lines when the ambient temperature approaches 32°F, along with insulating any exposed pipes that remain full of stagnant water (such as fresh water supply lines for automatic filling). Evaporation can occur in the Winter just as it does during the warmer season, so it’s important to closely monitor the pool and keep the water level maintained if you do not have an auto-fill system enabled. While these are some of the most notable steps to stay protected from the freeze, it’s important to understand that there are other variables that may pose a risk if you do not know what to look for. That’s why our Maintenance Plan was created – to protect your investment, keep your warranties valid through proper tracking and documentation, and most importantly keep you and your family safe as you swim by vigilantly balancing the water with the appropriate dosage of chemicals. We want your Signature Pool to look new and function at its best, so if you’re not already taking advantage of our Maintenance Plan, please contact us for an estimate. Let us do the work so you can simply enjoy your pool the entire year.
